Kitter Keep
How to Learn Your Element
Every Kitter holds the potential to wield powerful magic. Their affinity for an element grants them the power to control the magical forces and manipulate the scientific laws that govern reality. However, only through training and study can allow a Kitter to accomplish such feats.
To learn an ability, you must draw your Kitter trying to learn this skill. For example, if they are trying to learn “Locate Water”, you must draw them practicing how to use that ability. How they try to learn the skill is completely up to you. Do they have a mentor or teacher? Perhaps they have friends to learn together with? Are they completely self-taught? Maybe they’re trying to use this skill to help others or prank rivals?
There are four levels of abilities: Novice, Student, Acolyte, and Mage. Each has different requirements to learn. These can be found under each element's button above.
Novice
Most Kitters, including those who do not seek to pursue a career in magic, learn Novice-level abilities. To not know these abilities as an adult is the same as an adult Kitter not knowing how to add or read. These skills are extremely easy to learn. Kitters of any age, including Meeps, can learn these abilities.
For each Novice ability, a minimum of two drawings must be drawn showing your Kitter learning it. Drawing more than two is optional, but not restricted. Drawings for Novice abilities may be with or without a background.
Student
It is not uncommon for Kitters to learn these skills even if they do not seek to become a Mage. At this level, elemental training begins to become complex and difficult. Only adult Kitters who are at least four months old may learn these abilities.
For each ability, a minimum of three drawings must be drawn showing your Kitter learning it. Drawing more than three is optional, but not restricted. Drawings can be with or without backgrounds.
.
Acolyte
This level of elemental mastery is usually learned by those seeking to become Mages. Kitters learning these skills will find themselves taxed to their limit as they learn of the enormous complexity that awaits those seeking to master such powerful skills. Only adult Kitters who are at least eight months old may learn these abilities.
For each ability, a minimum of four drawings must be drawn showing your Kitter learning it. Drawing more than four is optional, but not restricted. Drawings may be with or without backgrounds.
Mage
It is said that there are no young mages. Though some may protest against the stereotype, it cannot be denied that it takes many years to learn the skills of a mage.
These Kitters are renowned for fully understanding their element. They can become one with their element, transforming into fire or ice or shadow or whatever their element may be. They can summon and commune with magical spirits who come from the realm from which all elemental energy flows from. They are the masters of the elements. Only adult Kitters who are at least one year old may learn these abilities.
For each ability, a minimum of five drawings must be drawn showing your Kitter learning it. Drawing more than five is optional, but not restricted. Drawings at least two of the five drawings for each ability must have backgrounds.
How to Submit Your Images
Kitters are free to learn their abilities on their own time or in classes, however, due to the sheer number of elements and abilities, the group will not be hosting classes but rather your images can simply depict your Kitter in class with Cobalt and others if you so choose.

Because we are not directing classes and anyone can submit their images at any time, we request that you please be patient when it comes time for a mod to review your images and add you to the official magic roster.

All images submitted must be full color and, if they do not have a background, full body. Your Kitter must know all of the skill levels lower than the one they are attempting to learn-- you can't just wait until your Kitter is a year old and skip to Mage abilities. Images submitted must be clean and look finished.
When you submit each image please be sure to submit them to the "Hone Your Skills" folder.

When you have completed all of your required images please note the group with your last image that contains links to all the other images for review. Once a mod has checked your images they will add your Kitter to the official element roster and reply to your note. Once your Kitter has been added to the roster they may begin using the abilities from the level they completed freely!
When you draw a picture in which a Kitter is learning an elemental ability, please list the following in your description.
