Kitter Keep
Murkwood NPCs
Boggart
“Y’got something t’say or are ye just gonna lookit me all day?”
A crotchety old man, Boggart is infamous for his sour attitude
and tendency to act poorly to anyone who dares speak to him.
Though he claims that by being rude to those that come
seeking crystals he is testing their emotional strength, if they
break down or get too aggressive in return they are simply not
prepared to become parents. Boggart takes his job very seriously,
having already dedicated decades of years to managing and
protecting the crystals of Murkwood, and planning on many
more years of service. In fact, his dedication runs so far
that he has multiple scars from defending the crystal
bog tooth and claw from thieves and ill-doers.

Boggart was raised by a lonely librarian who never
paid much attention to him, which is where his passions
for his job arose. Reading through old books he began to
write in depth notes himself, researching geology while his
parents dealt with other matters. He vowed that no meep would go to a home
that would neglect it. This is where his ill tempered attitude to new parents began, eventually becoming the focal point of his personality and reputation.

Willow
“Oh, hello there sweetie! Are you lost? … You don’t have any parents, oh you poor thing - come with me!”
Willow is a gentle earth-affinity Mudpuppy with a great love for meeps,
and a heart that is open to all. She has no tolerance for insults or
aggressive behaviour, and those under her roof who act as such will
promptly find themselves scolded. If bad behaviour continues, they will
be put into foster care. Willow wishes all to be good influences in her
meepery, especially the meeps themselves.
Born into a rich home that took multiple levels upon a large thick tree, Willow grew up a pampered only-child, her family offering her unconditional love as well as economic support. When her parents passed away due to a mysterious accident, Willow was left to fend for herself. Her pompous life had blinded her to the horrifying amounts of orphans, and with her family’s heritage, she immediately opened her home to all those that needed a home. Her care was specialized in meeps, and she personally tended to them in particular, though victims of other circumstances would always be welcomed in her home. She is well known even beyond Murkwood for her love and ceaseless generosity, though there have also been those who will take advantage of the same traits used to help countless others.

Oxford
“What is it that ails ya? Ooh that seems to be a case of zoonies-I have
just the thing!”
Spastic and loud, Oxford is the resident clown. He seems to be in a
permanent state of joy and amusement, often times even laughing at
nothing. Others blame this for one of his parents being a simple kitter,
leaving the ‘poor mudpuppy’ with imbalanced magic and mind alike.
However if this were true Oxford would not be known across
the lands as the best source to treat any magic based
ailment. Without even using magic Oxford knows what
natural substances to mix together to treat magic caused illness
or injury, including wounds caused by the infamous plague affinity.
As soon as a patient walks in, for either himself or for Titus he knows whats wrong.
Despite his zany and happy attitude Oxford is troubled by relentless nightmares of losing his roomate Titus. Despite being recurring the
mere thought of losing his only companion and dearest friend is
enough to floor him, thus he wakes screaming and crying, needing
Titus to hold him until he falls asleep once more. The next day he is
always back to his usual self, and Titus never questions him, as he is
thankful for this fact.
-Plague element

Titus
“Oh dear, that sounds like a nasty cough. I’ll get you some honey and tea; simple but highly effective.”
Reserved and soft spoken, Titus is a greatly endeared herbalist who many
say is a joy to visit. Working with the same natural ingredients as Oxford,
Titus can heal nearly any illness or injury caused by factors other than
magic. When complimented on his work or knowledge he will simply
blush and reply that he is simply “Doing his job.”
Titus was raised by a polyamorous family which treated him as if he were the most precious being on the planet. It was one of his mothers, Tarra that inspired his love for plants. She was a gardener as well as a bloom affinity,
and was more than happy to give her son books and magical know-how
about plants. Into adulthood Titus poured hours into reading and experimenting with plants, until the point that he knew enough to begin his practice. A small farm was created to grow and manage his herb. He met Oxford during his studies, and the two moved in together to share their
similar passions with the world, and each other.

Bachee
“Your house collapsed?! I am so sorry for your loss; you may stay in my home until the damages are repaired.”
Bachee is known by name by every resident in murkwood, and visitors
are informed of his existence almost immediately upon entering the
village. Bachee is a large, hospitable, proud mudpuppy best known
for their wise protective nature and their loud booming voice. She
carries a staff with the skull of an arcticary embedded upon the top, an
object passed down through her family lineage for centuries. Her job is
to run the village, assist with issues, plot renovations and expansions,
keep up safety and happiness, defend against threats and any other
tasks that come her way.
From her summoning day Bachee knew of her future role, her father
posing as her greatest teacher in training her mind and body for
the stressful role of leadership. Whenever she needs advice on the
happenings of the village she seeks council with her father, who
lives alone in retirement. His decades of leadership experience
prove a powerful asset, and decisions that may be difficult or
confusing to Bachee often proves simply resolved with a
visit to her father.
-Staff top is lined with feathers of many colors, each one unique
and coming from a felthurr that served a chief through their sentence. A
felthurr always chooses the chief, and the two gain an inseperable bond and are treated as equals.

-Visits Willow's home often to assist with meeps personally
-Can not cook
-Great storyteller
-Never has and never will drink alcoholic beverages
- She is often found at the Archery Range, helping meeps and kitters alike to improve their skills. It's often the first place the kitters of Murkwood think to look for her.

Ado
“Break anything and I’ll break your nose.”
Ado is standoffish - quick to anger and overly protective of her wares.
Blunt, aggressive, and short tempered, Ado is well known for her lack of
hospitality. Despite her job being selling and trading potions, she lacks a basic
respect for customer relations. She is unafraid to yell, curse at or even kick out
customers if they say or do something she considers unacceptable. The only
reason she has a business at all is that her talents are too valuable to lose, and
her potions never fail to do as they are advertised. Those that try to scam her
and claim failure of a potion are quickly taught how effective Ado’s potions
are, including those that are corrosive.
Many kitters have tried to breach through her tough personality with
kindness, cards, gifts, anything - however, none have been met with anything
other than aggression. The best that can be said about her is she is reliable
with deals, never lies, and is very talented.
-Has a history of biting people
-No tolerance for the uneducated
-Rumour has it she eats meat without cooking it
-Generally disliked in Murkwood
-Taxidermy is her side passion, and her hut is filled with her
creations.

Giggle and Grin
Giggle and Grin are well known for their cheerful and energetic mannerisms
when dealing with googators, always loving and gentle with the pets they
raise for a living. From a young age the gators are
raised to carry weight, until they are
old enough to be equipped to
carry meeps, kitters, and supplies.
When they are not trained they
offer ceaseless affection, to
make sure each is raised with
love.
Giggle lives up to their
namesake, going about their
life with a grin on his face and
energy in their movements.
They are very proud of their line of work, and are more than willing to put
in many extra hours to keep the farm running smoothly. Their younger brother Grin is the most important person in
their life, however, and would do anything for him. The two face almost all tasks together. Grin has a bad habit of being
spacey, impulse over thought driving his actions. Despite his lack of intelligence, he has persistence, and a great sense
of adventure. He often hosts tours of the farm to the meeps under Willow's care, as a sort of field trip. However, he's not a very good tour guide and often gets distracted.
-Both avoid the topic of their parents.
-Giggle prefers savory, while Grin prefers sweet.
-Giggle doesn’t have a good concept of jokes, so he just laughs when he thinks is necessary.
-Giggle has an odd fascination with butterflies.
-Grin plants flowers in the googater paddocks - he likes the smell and wants to share it with the gators.
-Grin has a bad habit of wandering off.
