The Elements
Every Kitter has an elemental affinity from the moment they're born. A Kitter's element is very important to it as it determines what kind of magic a Kitter can do. Kitter's have control over their elements, but must train to gain the majority of their abilities.
Most Kitters begin with one of the six elements to the left. These are referred to as "The Original Six" and are believed to have been the elements of early Kitters. Legend says the elements were gifted to Kitters by two extremely powerful Kitters; the first Kitters.
The elements to the right are referred to as the "Secondary" elements. They are elements that have been bred into Kitters. All of them are combinations of the original six elements.
The two elements to the right are considered the highest, rarest, and most powerful elements. It is entirely unheard of for a Kitter to be born with one of these elements. Many claim they're just a legend and never truly existed.
The elements to the left are more secondary elements. The difference between these four elements and the ones above are that they are referred to as forbidden elements. No one remembers why they're forbidden, but considering their typically sinister nature, no one is complaining.

Occasionally, a Kitter with one of these elements will pop up. When this happens, the parents are prosecuted and often banished to the Clawtooth Islands. For this reason Kitters aligned to this element are often anonymously abandoned at birth. They can typically be found being raised in the Crystal Sanctuary by Elias.
