How to Make a Meep

So you want to make a Kitter! Well, a baby Kitter is called a Meep after the sound it makes and that's how all Kitters start out. There are some specific guidelines to creating your Kitter that will be laid out here for you. First it's important to note that you may only make TWO Kitters for free. If you want more you'll need to buy extra Kitter vouchers or purchase adoptable Kitters from auctions, win them in contests or breed them.

Basics:

Meeps are born very plain; all starting off almost exactly the same aside from some color variations. They have no patterns or markings aside from an accent color on the tips of their whiskers and inside their ears and mouths. This accent color is also the color of their blood

Meeps have round, large heads with two whiskers on each cheek and huge eyes that fill up most of their heads. You can vary eye shape if you want! All kitters and meeps have black sclera that can only change under rare circumstances.

Meep's ears are as long as their bodies and legs combined, and their tails are even longer. All meeps start off with a small black nose and tiny feline mouth with no teeth. They have little tufts of fur at their necks. These fur tufts are like baby fat and can be removed as they grow up. Their backs have three long whiskers as well.

Meeps have no fingers or toes or hooves or anything! The fur they start with is so fine that you are unable to see any scruff aside from what is on their necks.

Body:

Meeps are very squat with huge flat feet. Their faces are all up close together in the three circles on the face. They have fat little tummies and plump arms and legs. Their tails are fat at the base and taper off.

Limbs:

A meep is designed for standing upright but tends to drop to all fours when running or jumping. This is because when standing their feet have to lie flat. Their legs are about 2/3s the length of their arms and their feet are just slightly shorter than their arms. When a meep is on all fours it can stand on its tiptoes in the back to give it more speed and power.

Whiskers:

A Kitter's whiskers are very important whether a Meep or full grown. A Kitter's whiskers hold its life-force and elemental powers. While Kitters can often take a lot of damage due to their rubbery forms; if a Kitter loses all of is whiskers it will die instantly. A Kitter can survive with as few as a single whisker but they will have essentially lost all of their elemental powers and be very weak and sickly. Luckily whiskers are as rubbery as the rest of a Kitter and will more likely just stretch out and then spring back into place than come off. All Meeps MUST have all of their whiskers.

Kitters' back whiskers will always have one long one short and one medium length whisker but they can be in any order. Their cheek whiskers must have the longer whisker above the short. Please remember that whisker tips must have the markings depicted.

Kitters whiskers can come in one of sixteen styles when they're born; either sharp, blunt, mage, plump, blade, needle, elegant, and ribbon. You may not mix and match styles and back whiskers must match cheek whiskers. Each style of whisker indicates a Kitter's general physical and elemental abilites. Think about these when choosing your Meep's whisker style!

+ Marks a postive of a whisker, - Marks a negative! || Whiskers with an Element in their + section need to draw one less image for each skill in that element if it is their element!! Whiskers with an Element in their - section need to draw one more image for each skill in that element if it is their element.

Sharp whiskered Kitters are often very well-balanced in their physical and elemental abilities.

+ Well Balanced, Can handle any element averagely. | - No special perks.

Blunt whiskered Kitters are good at anything involving strength or endurance but are slow-moving and not graceful.

+ Earth, Metal, Smoke, Void, Explosion | - Luck, Energy, Air, Light

Mage whiskered Kitters, while being a bit rough around the edges, have a natural affinity for their element but are physically weak.

+ After drawing at least 2 pictures of your Kitter using it's baby powers, Student and up magic requirements are cut in half!| - The Exception to this is any skill that requires any strain on the body (List of exceptions here)

Plump whiskered Kitters have the weak elemental powers but excel at everything physical.

+ Original Six Elements | - Secondary and Forbidden Elements

Blade whiskered Kitters are skilled fighters with both their element and physical abilities but they're not very good at using their element for anything else.

+ Metal, Fire, Void | - Light, Bloom, Balance

Needle whiskered Kitters are incredibly agile and quick but their physical strength is lacking.

+ Ice, Ink, Luck | - Energy, Explosives, Electricity

Elegant whiskered Kitters, known for their grace and beauty, excel at commanding their element but fail at physical fights.

+ Weather, Ice, Air, Fire, Bloom, Sin | - Earth, Explosives, Smoke

Ribbon whiskered Kitters are renowned for being artful, precise and delicate at nearly any task but are terrible at fighting or doing brute-force work.

+ Secondary Elements | - Original Six and Forbidden Elements

Bow whiskered Kitters are a bouncy, friendly bunch. They're practically a gift themselves, with how delightful they are to be around. Bow whiskered Kitters can be found at any party in town, and their magic is usually used in big strong bursts of fun.

+ Weather, Bloom, Energy, Electricity | - Forbidden Elements

Flutter whiskered Kitters love the air, and will often find unconventional ways to use their elements to keep them airborn. Natural daredevils, Flutter whiskered Kitters love to play and are constantly on the move.

+ Air, Weather, Electricity, Ectoplasm | - Earth, Metal, Ink

Fin whiskered Kitters are usually as calm, cool, and collected as still waters. They have a natural inclination to swim and are usually happiest if they end up with a water-affinity mate.

+ Water, Weather, Ice, Void | Fire, Smoke, Earth

Lovely whiskered Kitters typically are very soft, caring, and parentally-inclined Kitters. Their voices tend to be softer and gentler, and their element is wielded in a very soft way, spellcasting slowly.

+ Balance, Light, Bloom | - Forbidden Elements

Spike whiskered Kitters, like Blade whiskered, are big fighters. Unlike blades, however, Spike whiskered Kitters command their element in tandem with their movements to become the ultimate elemental duelists.

+ Fire, Smoke, Sin, Plague, Poison | - Water, Light, Balance, Bloom

Jitter whiskered Kitters's element is heavily affected by their emotions. Often air-headed or jumpy, these Kitters frequently will use their magic unintentionally when their emotions flare up. This does have the benefit of making magic a bit easier for them to learn once they've figured it out, however.

+ All Elements and skill levels except for novice | - Novice level skills require 2 extra images to learn

Knotted whiskered Kitters tend to be clumsy and often mess up when using magic. It's very common to see a knotted whiskered Kitter sneezing and shooting some kind of spell as a result!

+ Mage and Acolyte level skills require one less image | - Novice and Student level skills require an extra image

Target whiskered Kitters have the weakest elemental powers of any whisker type, unable to learn Mage or even Acolyte level magic! However, these kitters are much hardier than others. Their whiskers being flat against their faces make them very hard to kill through whisker loss.

+ Void, Forbidden Elements | - Light, Secondary Elements

Colors:

Your meep will have exactly three colors to start with.

Kitters begin with one base color. This is their main color that covers most of their body. The only places not covered by their main color at birth are their noses, the insides of their ears and mouths their, tongues, their whisker tips and their eyes.

Kitters tongues, the insides of their ears and mouths, and their whisker tips are all colored in their accent color. The insides of their mouths and the deepest part of their ears can be colored a slightly darker shade of the accent color.

Kitters eye color can be different from their other colors! Their irises can be whatever color you want while their sclera is always black.

Kitters noses are black at birth. A Kitter's accent color and eye color can never change* so make sure you like them!

!!Please do not use pitch black on any part of the Meep aside from it's outline, sclera and nose. You must choose an off-black color so that outline are visible.!!

*Eye color can change but only via 2 limited traits that are hard to get.

The App:

When you fill out the app you first will have to select the right app for you. The apps are organized by rarity of your Kitter's element. Any new free Kitters must use the blue "original six" app as you can only start with one of the six basic elements. Make sure you read the elements page to make sure you'll be happy with your element- you can't change it later!! You'll need to have a drawing of your meep in the big open box. Your meep's name goes at the top. You can color drop your meep's colors into the circles labeled for main accent and eyes and the you'll circle your chosen element. Please do not use colored outlines, outline a meep's whisker markings, or shade your meep(unless it's pure white).

If you can only draw your kitter traditionally just request one of the mods put it in the app for you via our discord.
