How to Transfer Old Characters to Kitter Keep
Do you have an OC from another Evolving Species who you’ve poured tons of work and love into? If you no longer want to be in the previous group but would like to join Kitter Keep then we recommend the transfer system. Using this system, you can recreate your character in Kitter Keep! Curious about how to do this? Here’s how it works.
All members who intend to transfer their character must use the following app:
All new members begin with two transfer slots. First thing for now, you just need to know that your new Kitterfied character may not have any traits they did not possess before they became a Kitter. Let’s look at an example:
Notice how the Kitter version of the character looks different from his original design. The errors are listed in red. As you can see, this Kitter is not a character belonging to the user, was only submitted as a sketch, does not have color, has an upgrade that does not match the original design, and has a Forbidden Element selected. Now let’s look at another example:
See how similar the two look? Although their color pallet as a Kitter is slightly different, it is still clearly similar. The color only needs to be similar, not identical. This Kitter is also clearly a fan character from Steven Universe, but the design is different enough from the character in the show that it is allowed. Remember, the unlimited traits should only be used to make your Kitter look as similar to their original design as possible.
About Transfer Slots
A transfer slot allows you to add as many traits to your new character as you want under the condition that they still look like their original design. Using this, you can make near-replicas of your characters with no limitations. You are also permitted to choose any element, excluding forbidden ones, to be your Kitterfied character’s affinity.
Transferring Fan Characters
In order to transfer a fan character, they must clearly be different from any of the characters in the media that they are being transferred from. Lets look at these two characters as an example.
This fan-character Ivysaur is too similar to Ivysaur from Pokemon to be transferred. Aside from the drawing style differences, the only changes made are the shape of the markings, the type of flower on her back, and the accessory.
Now let's look at another example
These two, despite clear similarities, are also much more obviously different characters despite being drawn in the same style and having the same body-type. Not only is there a highly altered color palette, but the hair style, dress, accessories, and overall perceived attitude of the character have been changed. This is an acceptable example of transferring a fan character.
Additional Notes

You character must be from another Evolving Species group.
Limited Edition/Event Only traits may not be chosen through any transfers. -
Markings and accessories count as traits.

The characters you transfer must be your own.

The user may no longer use the character as the previous species. Besides, why would you want two of the same character anyway?

Your character must be at least one month old and have ten different deviations posted on your Deviantart account before they can be transferred to KitterKeep. Please link the ten drawings and proof of age in the description of your transfer application.

If you believe that a Forbidden Element would be the best choice for your transferred character, then you may make the case for why only a Forbidden Element is suitable in your deviation description. This will be judged on a case-by-case basis by the mod accepting your transfer. We would like to keep the number of forbidden elements low and thus will only accept transfers with them if the reasoning is valid.
