Exploding Spit
Tine Firework
Learning: A Kitter creates a small ball sparking ball of explosive power and releases it. It flies into the air, before exploding into a brilliant flash of colour. It’s a very simple burst and naturally takes the kitter's accent color. However with practice, a kitter can make it almost any color they want - although, it does take more time and effort.
Usage: Put on a show or send up a signal. This ability is mostly used for entertainment but also can be used as a flare of sorts. But some kitters just like making others jump with the loud bang it produces.
Limitations: No matter what the Kitter does, the firework will always go straight up in the air, and it doesn't detonate until it reaches a certain altitude, making it completely useless for combat.
Explosive Resistance
Learning: A Kitter creates a small, invisible barrier around themselves by focusing on wanting to be safe. As long as the kitter stays focused, they keep the barrier up. This is very hard to do at first, but with practice it gets easier. On the plus side, the only way to test that it's working is to have explosives thrown at you (this gives you an incentive to put up your shield as well!) It's recommended that a kitter learns this ability as soon as they can, so they have protection against magical mishaps.
Usage: Kitters mostly use this to stop accidentally blowing themselves up. It does have other advantages such as hunting boomkins, or dueling other explosive kitters. This has lead some kitters to take shelter behind explosive-affinity kitters for protection against a blast.
Limitations: This ability doesn't take a lot of energy to maintain - however, it is rather mentally taxing. Most mages can keep it running indefinitely, while less-skilled kitters will become dizzy and get a headache if trying to keep it going for more than a few hours at a time. If held for too long, a kitter can become ill. Since the resistance is magical, not genetic, a kitter can only resist an explosion as strong as they can make. This is not fire resistance, as a kitter can still get burnt from non explosive means.
Explosive Push
Learning: A kitter can create an explosion of air around them by pushing the air out of their lungs, through their body. The resulting blast pushes away anyone or anything close by, as long as they are of a similar weight as the magic user. This ability is activated by strong feeling of wanting something or someone to go away. Using this ability isn't hard, although controlling it is.

Usage: Most kitters simply use this as a means of defense or escape in combat. But it can also be used in more creative ways, such as kicking up dust to obscure vision or to blow those pesky leaves of your lawn.
Limitations: As it's tied to emotions, it's not uncommon for this ability to misfire, generally when the kitter is under a lot of stress or is scared. It can also leave a kitter out of breath and vulnerable, so they should take a deep breath before and after using it. The blast is not strong enough to harm anyone; it simply pushes them away.
Learning: A kitter can enchant their saliva to act like gunpowder. By focusing their magic in their mouth, they can turn their saliva into a highly reactive fuel. Once in contact with flame or sparks, it catches alight and rapidly expels its energy.
Usage: Mostly used for on-the-spot pyrotechnics - throwing some in a campfire for dramatic effect while storytelling or making smoke trails, for example. It can also be used as a propellant for small light objects.
Limitations: A kitter can only create a few teaspoons of combustible saliva per day, as it dries their mouth out something fierce. The magic also wears off over time so one can't store it - really should use it right way for the maximum effect.
