Calculate Odds
Learning: While difficult to learn, calculating odds is an innate ability to see how likely certain choices or actions will come out a certain way. A kitter attempting to learn this ability must make a decision, teachers suggest throwing an apple at a tree. As the apple is in the air the luck affinity kitter must reach out with their magic and push to see the likelihood of the apple splitting when it comes in contact with the tree. It usually takes many attempts before the magic user will be able to 'feel' the likelihood of the apple exploding. Some mages even have a difficult time using this ability quickly when it is needed most.

Usage: Historically, Luck kitters were used as tools for war and battles, detecting probabilities for various approaches and strategies until one with a higher outcome was found. Gamblers, thieves and do-gooders alike find this ability useful, and use it for their various needs.

Limitations: This ability is difficult to learn, can be incorrect, and it's hard to get to a precise reading and generally unreliable if not practiced and treated with respect. Does not have physical or mental consequences through usage, but has been known to lead kitters into lives of challenging odds which ultimately results in various forms of death and injury.
Inflict Bad Luck
Learning: This ability is more like tricking kitter's minds into thinking things are not going their way. It's accomplished by transmitting some of the Kitter's own magic in the other kitter's mind (the magic fades away on its own.) However, once used more than once, this ability slowly alters the odds of things going right for the affected kitter, though rarely does anything extreme or life-threatening happen.

Usage: More applicable as a cruel playground attack, inflicting bad luck doesn't have many practical applications. Some luck affinity kitters have contests on making their opponents unlucky, and whoever turns out to have the worst luck that day ultimately loses.

Limitations: Usually only lasts half an hour at the most unless the ability is refined. Beginners also might have their own bad luck by accidentally striking themselves with as much misfortune as the kitter they are attempting to inflict bad luck upon. Luck-affinity kitters are more easily affected by this ability, as their minds are less likely to repel this magic, due to it being familiar. Impossible to remove until it wears off naturally.
Precognition
Learning: This ability allows a kitter to passively see actions that will occur in the future. When learning this ability, the magic user must observe the present moment, and push with their mind to access what has not yet occurred. Focusing on a single object or living being typically yields more accurate and fast results. This ability is sometimes encountered in dreams, where kitters will see a glimpse of the future. Mages can only reach a few hours into the future outside of dream visions, and lower levels even less.

Usage: For a simple glance into how life will be like; how a choice will affect the day's outcomes; or getting the edge in battle when used correctly, precognition can be both fun and practical.

Limitations: Works usually only a few seconds into the future, and has the possibility of being altered or incorrect. Oftentimes causes extreme mental agony to beginners due to the strain being on the mind more than magic reserves. In extreme cases luck affinity kitters have knocked themselves unconscious for days by pushing their minds too far. Seeing into the future is also limited to what a kitter will see in their own life time. Some have reported seeing the dead or an empty blackness in their dreams, and believe this to be sights after death, but these claims have been denied by various mages and magic experts.
Element Sense
Learning: When sensing another kitter's element, a Luck-affinity kitter must simply push their own magic outwards, where it will interact with the other kitters magic and return with their elemental information. The knowledge is felt instinctively more than it is ‘implanted’ into the brain. Becomes automatic and natural after luck magic is practiced over a few months' time.
Usage: Commonly used to confirm that meep summonings are legal by checking the elements of either the meep or the parents. Useful in fights to prepare for elemental attacks by understanding what the kitter needs to avoid when attacked.
Limitations: In the beginning other kitters will be able to detect that a luck affinity kitter is checking their ability due to their own magic being pulled at and tested. Ability can be mastered to subtlety by mages however.
